To My Fellow Neighbors and Friends of Alpharetta:

Thank you for visiting my website, which is a place to keep informed of the campaign happenings, which will evolve into an electronic Town Hall site to receive information on my vision for Alpharetta.

On August 31, 2011, I filed the paperwork required under Georgia state law and qualified to place my name on the ballot for the upcoming November 8th general election to become Alpharetta’s next Mayor.

First and foremost, I ask for your support and ask for your vote to help me become your next Mayor.

I recognize that every ones vote counts and each candidate is required to place their experience and vision before the voters as part of the election process.  I hope I am able to do that in a way that provides you with a full understanding of my credentials and vision for our City, and therefore be an educated voter before you cast your ballot.

In the coming weeks, I will do my part to educate my neighbors of my achievements as your City Councilman during the past ten years, and more importantly, why I believe I am the best choice to lead Alpharetta over the course of the next four years.

You see, Alpharetta is still a growing City, with an ever increasing population now pushing over 40,000 residents.  This does not take into account the many visitors our City hosts daily, as we see Alpharetta continuing to maintain its reputation as being one of the most prestigious business addresses in the region.  I intend on keeping it that way!

I believe the future of Alpharetta is bright, but with new critical challenges for our next Mayor in the next four years.  The decision the voters will make on November 8th, will determine the direction and future of our City. Our City not only requires experienced leadership, but principled leadership to maintain the quality of life we all expect.

My leadership abilities have been front and center for the Alpharetta voters to see during my last ten years on the City Council.  I took the oath of office ten years ago and promised to be consistent and explain my votes, so that the citizens I represent can understand fully the reasoning behind my positions taken.  My philosophy in serving is simple – serve the public’s best interests. I will continue to base my decisions upon prudent governmental leadership, where my decisions have and will continue to be based on a continuous goal of sustaining sound long-term fiscal policies versus political expediency.

I believe my record during the past ten years speaks volumes of how I would lead Alpharetta as your next Mayor in the coming four years.  I will try to have my campaign provide as much information as I can to achieve one goal – that is to have an informed electorate.

During this campaign, I will offer up my credentials to maintain a safe and secure community as my first and foremost priority, keep a vigilance on controlling growth that keeps Alpharetta a family-friendly community; while balancing the economic realities of our times, maintain a nationally recognized recreation and parks program, and keep a key focus on sustaining our Triple AAA bond rating as a City; which requires our next Mayor to provide for sound fiscal policies for years to come.
